Dates for your Diary

We hope you have all had a lovely summer break. We can’t believe it’s almost September!! We had great fun at our High School Musical Summer School at the end of July and it was lovely to have two of our former students, Sophie and Ciara back to teach. Another one of our former students, Sarah Boylon will be making her directorial debut, directing a play called “Go on Dad, Knock” at the Liverpool Hope Street Theatre 4th – 7th September and a couple of our current students also have parts. We’re looking forward to watching it!
So the new Stage Door term is about to commence! As usual, we have lots in store this year…….
Our autumn term commences on Saturday 7th September and will run for 7 weeks until Thursday 24th October. We will be having a Halloween themed workshop for all ages on Saturday 26th October and then we will be off for the half term. Lessons will begin again on Tuesday the 5th November and we will run for another 7 weeks until Saturday 21st December.
Well done to all our LAMDA students who sat their exams in July. We hope to have the results back and ready to give out to the students when the new term commences. We have our next LAMDA exam session booked for Sunday 1st December 2019. This will mainly be for students who attend the weekly Lamda class on a Saturday afternoon and for private students. Please let us know if you would like any further information.
A few parents have enquired about how to get their children registered on the casting database Spotlight. Spotlight is a professional casting database, showcasing young performers and connecting them to casting directors who are always searching for fresh talent in television, stage and commercials. For those looking for audition opportunities it is an advantage to be a member. We are registered with Spotlight so get in touch if you’d like any further information. We realise that this is not for everyone and it is in no way compulsory or expected for you to join Spotlight! Our main aim at Stage Door is that your child develops their confidence, has lots of fun, learns new performance skills and makes friends.
During the half term, we will be having a Halloween themed Spooky Musical Theatre Workshop on Saturday 26th October 10am-3pm open to all ages.
